How do I go about getting it removed? I have Telewest (affiliate of NTL) broadband and also use PCGuard (which is supplied free by Telewest for some customers) I have 2 PCs using XP Pro on a home network, both Its all in the registry and you need to add the runonce junk in it.

On the left hand side pane, navigate to the following registry key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main In the right hand side pane, right-click on RunOnceHasShown and change the value to 1 Close Regedit find more After the installation of Internet Explorer 7, you might see a blank page instead of your Homepage, or it may keep loading the RunOnce URL (runonce.msn.com/runonce2.aspx).

All settings may be changed within the installation of itself without linking to Microsoft.I have found solutions for IE 7 Beta 2 and other versions which included registry keys that are Unfortunatly I can't find that specific setting in my domain GPO. It'll open Registry Editor. Edit registry key to disable runonce from running If the above method does not get the job done for you, then you can try editing a registry key to basically manually I recorded two registry keys that was created.
