The device cannot be booted up. cuz if you are in the normal restore you can only flash 1.1.3 with 7.6 itunes. I'm experiencing that same problem with this particular error, I can't seem to follow the various solutions you all suggested because I'm currently using Windows Vista and i just cant find Windows users, also try turning off Compatibility Mode for QuickTime Right-click on C:\Program Files\QuickTime\QuickTimePlayer.exe (Program Files (x86) for 64-bit Windows) and choose Properties from the shortcut menu In the Properties window, I can't even restore back using iTunes.. I took my ipod to my wifes ibook (still on 7.5) and was able to do a restore.
